Projects and Descriptions

Class Projects

All classes attended at Arizona State University

EGR 101: Foundation of Engineering Design Project 1

  • Spring-powered baseball launcher learning elastic energy
  • Road construction safety lane line lighting

ALA 100: Intro to Environmental Design

  • Design a chair that is made from cardboard and is fully functional and recyclable

EGR 102: Foundation of Engineering Design Project 2

  • Sparky Ville designed a windmill and water wheel to generate electricity
  • Variable watering apparatus for crops using IR sensors and stepper motors using Arduino coding

EGR 201: Use-Inspired Design Project 1

  • Worked with a School teacher to develop a product to help students learn, made a programable lockbox that can be opened when the correct answer is put in on the keypad, and had an emergency opening mechanism if the answer was forgotten

EGR 202: Use-Inspired Design Project 2

  • Redesigned and built an electric skateboard to fit within the parameters given by the school as personal EV became more popular on campus

EGR 303: Mechanical Systems Project 1

  • Designed a multipart rocket that could carry a payload while being powered by a hobbyist solid fuel engine and designed an Excel model that could predict the flight path of the rocket, including drag, current wind conditions, and launch angle

EGR 313: Mechanical Systems Project 2

  • Applied current knowledge of thermal and fluid dynamics to create a wind turbine that could harness the wind flowing over a train to light up safety lights on non-powered cars and charge a backup battery for when the train is stationary

EGR 401: Professional Design Project 1

  • Worked with Raytheon on an automation project that involved computer vision and learning, where I was the lead for code development and simulation analysis.
  • Currently under NDA and with Security Clearance

EGR 402: Professional Design Project 2

  • EGR 401 project continued and fully delivered to Raytheon

EGR 219: Computational Modeling Engineering Systems

  • Worked in MATLAB and SIMULINK to create a system for environmental control and stabilization

EGR 240: CADD Solid Modeling

  • Model and design a functional bike within the constraints
  • Solidworks certified after taking the class

EGR 380: Advanced CADD & Solid Modeling

  • Reverse engineering any chosen complex product into SolidWorks, my choice was an aerosol can shown in my portfolio

EGR 370: Welding Survey

  • Create multiple welds that show a high level of proficiency with different welding techniques. These included Stick, MIG, TIG, Oxy Flue, Plastic, and Friction welding

EGR 444: Engineering Design

  • Design a compact assistant system to help people load objects into the back of a vehicle

MFG 385: Design for Manufacturing

  • Work with an inventor/entrepreneur to bring their product to life while also making it able to be mass-produced with different types of manufacturing methods
  • NDA signed on product information, specifications, and manufacturing methods
  • Create an Excel Spreadsheet of all the most prominent manufacturing methods, including price, lead timed, tolerances, and possible materials

THE 494: Disney Behind the Magic

  • Design and create a new Disney attraction that can be integrated into the parks, Big Hero 6: Saving San Fransokyo

EGR 445: Mechanical Engineering Systems

  • Designed a lightweight wind deployment system for a UAV using the kinematics knowledge learned in class

Personal Projects

Mouse Ear Design

  • Created and drew designs for the ears
  • Worked on different methods of interchangeable ears for customization

Loki Mandalorian Cosplay

  • Printed, smoothed, and finished a cosplay prop and costume
  • Made Nordic lightsaber hilt and Loki daggers for props

3D Printer Assembly and Fine Tuning

  • With one of my FDM printers, I have upgraded and calibrated it to work more efficiently as it is a bed-slinger
  • New hot-end assembly, hotbed, and fans
  • Calibration is done in UltiMaker Cura, with flow rates and travel speed being the main components
